Here's How the FoodClues™ Approach Works

The FoodClues™ approach tackles food allergies and intolerances at their root cause, not just managing symptoms. Many treatments like acupuncture, medications, and food reintroduction often focus on reducing allergic responses, such as itching, swelling, and rashes. While there's nothing wrong with these treatments, they essentially treat the symptom and not the cause, which can lead to less than full relief.

The FoodClues™ approach goes a step further by asking, "Why is that response occurring in the first place?" It’s your food reactions and the nutritional characteristics of your food triggers that help us quickly find the other symptoms and issues in your body that ultimately allow us to identify the true cause driving your food allergies and intolerances.

This is the essence of FoodClues™. Here’s an example:

Say you’re allergic to eggs and avocados and specifically don’t like the yolk of hard-boiled eggs. Egg yolks are high in sulfur, and avocados are high in healthy fats. Both sulfur and healthy fats are used in processes in the liver. Reactions and avoidance of these foods likely indicate an underlying liver issue.

The FoodClues™ Approach asks, “What could be impacting the liver to make it react to foods high in sulfur or healthy fats?” And we aim to treat that in addition to solutions to reduce allergic responses.

Continuing the example, a steroid medication could effectively reduce inflammation in the liver caused by the underlying issue driving the sulfur and fat rejection, but not treat the issue itself. So you could feel a little better but still struggle with your trigger foods.

Likewise, treatments like chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, and other bodywork methods can improve fluid flow and organ mobility, reducing symptoms like itching and rashes, but still don’t address the issue causing them, leaving you in a cycle of repeated care to feel better while never feeling fully recovered. (Side note: We encourage our clients to use other natural symptom management methods while in our programs to reduce symptoms as we tackle the main problem. This often results in faster resolution with fewer kickback symptoms or other setbacks.)

The FoodClues™ approach is the only treatment solution that focuses on identifying and truly healing the underlying causes driving your allergies. It doesn’t just reduce symptoms or teach your body a secondary immune response to reduce symptoms; it addresses the problem and heals the body.
